PayPal global product exec leaves
Departure leads to Yahoo rumours

Sam Shrauger is leaving his position as VP of global product and experience at PayPal.

He has been at the company eight years and there is speculation he may join his former boss at PayPal Scott Thompson, who left in January to became CEO of Yahoo.

Poaching of its staff by new payment players wanting experienced industry executives to help them with their payment offerings is becoming an issue for PayPal.

Last month the company’s VP of products for North America Alyssa Cutright left to join mobile card reader company Square. In January 2011 PayPal’s VP of product development Osama Bedier departed to become VP of wallet and payments at Google.
